MEET THE OWNERS: Hilary & Ed

Hilary, the founder at Wedzines, serves as both the president of the business and as the company's service director, assuring a great experience for all Wedzines clients. Her husband, Ed, is the editorial director at Wedzines, guiding the company's editorial staff. The two were married in Kansas City, Mo., on Dec. 31, 2004, and had their first baby, Will, in July 2010!

Hilary is the bride who came up with the idea of producing custom-made magazines for couples on their wedding days. She long wished that she'd had Ed, a magazine editor and designer, put together a custom-made magazine all about them and their wedding events for their big day. While the idea came too late to get the production work done in time for their own wedding day, she started the Wedzines business in an effort to share her great idea with other engaged couples. With a strong background in customer service, she assures that Wedzines clients get exactly what they're looking for in their Wedzines.

Ed has been an editor, page designer, and writer at national magazines and newspapers for more than 10 years. Among other past editorial posts, he has served as the editor-in-chief and layout/production leader for a number of well-known U.S. music festival programs, as the lead editor for an array of specialty consumer magazines (including this one and this one), and as the news editor and copy editor for a handful of U.S. newspapers. At Wedzines, he guides our staff of writers, editors, and designers in creating keepsake magazines that help couples to share all the info about themselves and their big day with their guests, and makes sure that clients' wedding magazines have a keepsake quality that will keep couples looking back at their Wedzine to remember their big day for years to come.
